What we collect,
and what we don't.
Short version: we collect what you type into a form, we do not track you, and we will delete it on request.

Who we are
The Tech Trove builds and maintains software for clients. In this policy “we” means The Tech Trove, and “you” means anyone who visits this site or sends us something through it. You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@thetechattic.com.
What we collect
We collect three things, and only when you choose to give them to us.
When you send an enquiry
The contact form stores your name, email address, and — if you fill them in — your company, phone number, the service you are asking about, your budget range, and your message. The careers form stores the same, plus any portfolio or profile link you add.
When you leave a review
The review form stores your name, your rating, your review, and — if you fill them in — your role, company and email address. Your email is never published. We publish your name, role and company alongside the review once we approve it.
When you simply read the site
Nothing. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to anyone who would want one.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, and only for people who sign in to our admin panel. It keeps that session signed in and does nothing else. If you never sign in — which is everyone except us — no cookie is set, which is why you are not being asked to accept any.
IP addresses
When you submit a form, your IP address is held in memory for sixty seconds to stop the same address flooding us with automated submissions. It is never written to our database and it is gone the moment that minute passes.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, to quote for work, and to run the engagement if you become a client. For reviews, to publish what you wrote and to check with you if anything is unclear. We do not use your details for marketing you did not ask for, and we never sell or rent them.
Where it lives
In our own database, hosted on Amazon Web Services. Access is limited to the people at The Tech Trove who need it. We use no third-party CRM or mailing platform, so your details are not copied into other companies’ systems.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a live conversation or a live engagement, and reviewed periodically after that. Published reviews stay up until you ask us to take yours down. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will.
Your rights
Email hello@thetechattic.com and you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. We will action it and confirm, normally within a few working days. You do not need to give a reason.
Other people’s sites
Our work pages link to clients’ own websites and to app-store listings. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not ours.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
