Using this site

You are welcome to read this site, share it, and link to it. You may not copy its design, text, or code to pass off as your own, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or attempt to reach the parts of it that require a login.

What is on the site

The work we describe is real, and the clients named have agreed to be named. Figures such as user counts and delivery timelines are drawn from those projects and are given as a record of what happened, not a promise of what your project will do.

Enquiries are not a contract

Sending an enquiry, receiving a reply, or discussing a project does not commit either of us to anything. Work starts when we have both agreed a written scope covering deliverables, price, and dates — and that document, not this page, governs the engagement.

Quotes and prices

A quotation is valid for thirty days unless it says otherwise. Prices are quoted before work begins. If the scope changes, we tell you what it costs before we build it — you will not find out at the invoice.

Payment

Fixed-price work is billed against milestones; retainers are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due as stated on the invoice. If payment stops, work pauses, and we will say so before it happens rather than after.

Who owns the work

You do. On full payment, the code and design we produce for your project are yours, and we transfer the repository, accounts and deployment access to you at handover. Anything we bring with us — our own internal libraries and tooling — stays ours, and you get a licence to keep using it inside your product for as long as you like.

Third-party components keep their own licences. We tell you what they are before we use them, and we do not build your product on anything you cannot legally ship.

Showing your project

We may show completed work in our portfolio and describe what we built. If your project is confidential, tell us and it stays off the site. Ask us later to remove something and we will take it down.

Reviews you send us

If you leave a review, you are giving us permission to publish it with your name, role and company. We may decline to publish, and we may remove a review, but we will not edit your words into something you did not say. Ask us to take yours down and we will.

Confidentiality

Anything you tell us about your business in the course of an engagement stays between us. We will sign your NDA if you have one.

What we are responsible for

We build carefully and we stay on after launch, but no software is free of defects. We are responsible for doing the work to a professional standard and fixing what we get wrong. We are not responsible for losses caused by services we do not control — hosting outages, third-party API changes, or changes made to the product after handover by someone else.

Ending an engagement

Retainers can be ended by either of us with thirty days’ notice. For fixed-price work, if you stop the project you pay for the milestones completed, and you receive everything produced up to that point.
